TTds x Zebrano Outdoor Living Collaboration
01.08.2025
TTds has partnered with Zebrano Outdoor Living, one of Turkey’s leading brands in outdoor furniture. This collaboration brings together contemporary landscape design and high-quality outdoor furniture, resulting in spatial compositions that center the user experience.
The video content produced as part of this collaboration became its most powerful expression. In her interview at Zebrano Outdoor Living’s Antalya showroom, Tülay Tosun discusses the intersection of outdoor furniture and landscape architecture, as well as its role in the design process. The conversation offers key insights into design not only as an aesthetic act but as a tool for spatial experience.
The video extends beyond the showroom to the TTds rooftop terrace, where various spatial scenarios were created. Zebrano Outdoor furniture, carefully selected by the TTds team, was arranged in different configurations—revealing the terrace’s versatile potential, from everyday living to social gatherings. Thus, the furniture transcends its role as a mere functional object, becoming an element that defines character and enriches experience.
Through this video, the TTds x Zebrano Outdoor Living collaboration reveals a new narrative—one in which space and product unite on the same stage, making visible the intimate relationship between design and life.

Tülay Tosun Interview – TTds x Zebrano
Question 1: Outdoor design processes can be challenging. Which phase is the most demanding for you? How does that process usually unfold for you?
The most demanding phase is definitely the time spent creating the right design, the right concept. That period is often intense. I could give many examples about this. The conceptual design of each project has always been special and exciting for me. After the concept phase, the second challenging part is selecting materials—furniture, surface finishes, lighting elements, and then plant selection and composition. It’s all about assigning the right role to both living and non-living materials in a way that fits the concept I envisioned.
Question 2: What do you usually pay attention to when selecting outdoor furniture and accessories?
This is probably the most important point—and maybe the one that's often overlooked. When choosing outdoor furniture and accessories, we must never forget they will live outside. Their exposure to UV rays, functionality in terms of use, aesthetics, and visual impact on the landscape are all key factors. Especially since we design many projects along the Mediterranean coast, things like saltwater resistance are crucial. For us, if a product can endure and age gracefully within the scenery, it speaks to its sustainability. That’s what we value most.
Question 3: As a landscape architect, how do you balance the aesthetic language of design with the functional reality of the product?
As a designer, building empathy between the design and the product is essential. Not every product belongs in every space. A piece might look beautiful, the color might be perfect, but if it's not comfortable or usable, it simply doesn’t belong. That’s why we pay great attention to durability and ergonomics in our designs.
Question 4: As TTds, which technical and design qualities stand out to you in Zebrano’s furniture? How do you think these qualities are reflected in your architectural projects?
Our biggest challenge has always been finding the right materials and furniture for outdoor use. What I’ve seen with Zebrano is that they don’t just offer chairs and tables—they also have things like solar lighting, both wired and wireless. These pieces are modern, durable, and very functional. I was surprised to see that some products I initially thought were indoor-only actually work beautifully outside. Normally we use wood, aluminum, or chrome in furniture, but here I saw various materials blended harmoniously—and all with great ergonomic success. Fabrics are a big deal too. In outdoor spaces, especially in public or hotel settings, fabric must be waterproof, stain-repellent, easy to clean, and UV resistant. Zebrano’s materials check all those boxes. I say cheers to many more creative and inspiring collaborations with the right products.
