TTds | Tülay Tosun Design Studio tarafından Liberty Hotels & Resorts için tasarlanan Liberty Kuşadası, 2024 sezonuna yetiştirilen anahtar teslim kapsamlı bir dönüşüm projesi olarak hayata geçirildi.
Designed by TTds | Tülay Tosun Design Studio for Liberty Hotels & Resorts, Liberty Kuşadası was developed as a turnkey transformation project completed within an extremely limited timeframe for the 2024 season.
Proje, ’nda mevcut bir otel yapısının yeniden dönüştürülmesiyle başladı. Yapıyı tamamen değiştirmek yerine, mevcut potansiyeli ortaya çıkaracak hızlı fakat güçlü bir mekânsal dönüşüm hedeflendi.
The project began with the acquisition of an existing hotel structure in . Rather than rebuilding the property entirely, the primary design intention focused on revealing the potential of the existing structure through a fast yet powerful spatial transformation.
Merkezi atrium çevresinde konumlanan restoranlar kendi mutfak kimliklerine göre yeniden tasarlandı. Lime Meksika Restoranı, Dolce Vita İtalyan Restoranı, Mi Asya Restoranı, Yedi Türk Restoranı ve Hint Restoranı; yeni malzemeler, renkler ve atmosfer kararlarıyla dönüştürüldü. Çatı kotunda ise kullanılmayan teras alanı yeniden işlevlendirilerek Yamas Yunan Restoranı tasarlandı ve otelin en güçlü sosyal alanlarından birine dönüştü.
Restaurants positioned around the central atrium were redesigned according to their own culinary identities. Lime Mexican Restaurant, Dolce Vita Italian Restaurant, Mi Asian Restaurant, Yedi Turkish Restaurant and the Indian Restaurant were transformed through new materials, colors, accessories and atmospheric interventions. At the rooftop level, an unused terrace was converted into Yamas Greek Restaurant, becoming one of the hotel’s strongest social destinations overlooking the sea and Kuşadası skyline.
Teraslarda yapılan peyzaj müdahaleleri projenin Akdeniz karakterini güçlendirdi. Bougainvillea glabra sarmaşıkları taşıyan pergolalar ve büyük ölçekli Olea europaea ağaçları sayesinde sert mimari atmosfer daha doğal ve yaşanabilir bir yapıya dönüştürüldü.
Landscape interventions played an important role in softening the architectural atmosphere of the terraces. Pergola systems carrying Bougainvillea glabra vines and large Olea europaea trees strengthened the Mediterranean identity of the project while transforming previously empty spaces into active social environments.
Projedeki en güçlü dönüşüm atrium alanında gerçekleşti. Daha önce boş ve işlevsiz olan bu hacim, yaşayan bir iç peyzaj atmosferine dönüştürüldü. Mevcut mermer zemine müdahale edilmeden, yükseltilmiş çelik konstrüksiyon sistemler üzerinde sökülebilir yeşil adalar ve TTds tarafından geliştirilen özel sulama sistemleri oluşturuldu.
The most significant transformation occurred within the atrium itself. Previously functioning as an empty and inactive volume, the space was reimagined as a living interior landscape environment. Without intervening in the existing marble flooring, removable green island systems were constructed using elevated steel structures and integrated irrigation solutions developed by TTds.
Atrium merkezindeki lobi bar, oturma alanları ve aydınlatma elemanları; su sesi ve doğal ambiyans efektleriyle desteklenerek çok katmanlı bir deneyim ortamı oluşturdu. Bitkiler arasına gizlenen PalmROCK şelalesi ise projenin en karakteristik atmosfer elemanlarından biri hâline geldi.
The lobby bar, seating lounges and lighting elements positioned within the atrium were combined with water sounds and natural ambience effects to create a layered sensory atmosphere. Hidden among the planting areas, the PalmROCK waterfall became one of the defining experiential features of the project.
Liberty Kuşadası, yalnızca hızlı tamamlanan bir renovasyon projesi değil; mevcut bir yapının mimari, peyzaj ve operasyonel tasarım kararlarıyla güçlü bir konaklama deneyimine dönüştürülebileceğini gösteren bütüncül bir dönüşüm projesi olarak öne çıkıyor.
Liberty Kuşadası ultimately became not only a rapid renovation project, but also a strong example demonstrating how an existing structure can be transformed into a contemporary hospitality experience through architectural, landscape and operational design strategies.
